Late Xmas Post

Woah we only got few hours left in 2012! And I haven't uploaded the kids' xmas pictures yet! Well this post wouldn't be published without them so make sure to check them out at the bottom part of this post. But first, I need to write about how our xmas was spent. If you don't like to know about it, you can skip the next paragraph.

Xmas is one occasion I don't wanna forget about in case I need to take a look back few years from now. Though my 2012 xmas wasn't extra special. As you know, I was the only one who shopped for my son's clothes, I was the only one who attended his xmas party and then day before xmas, I was left all alone doing all the thinking about what food to prepare on xmas eve. And as icing on the cake, I got bombarded with words I don't like to hear! Can I have an award for these? On to the good things...one of my best friends came over with her 10 year-old daughter whom I godmothered. Among our combined 30+ godchildren, she has been the only one who never stopped visiting us on xmas despite her being almost a teen. The rest had stopped coming over since they got older probably because they grew tired of it. And then husband and Jam went to the in laws whose house is only few lots away while I spent the rest of the time at home eating all the food in the world! Xmas is one of the times when I wouldn't care getting fat! Also a day after xmas, my mother, my sister, her husband, the three kids and I went to the xmas night bazaar. The kids had a carousel ride which they enjoyed very much! We also walked around to see if we could buy something really nice. Well I got a boring black plastic basin and a black tank top which doesn't at all fit! We got hotdog sandwich at ministop then we got tired and went home.

For the best part. here are the pictures I had taken of the kids. I would take pictures of them as much as I could because them being kids is not forever.

Jam's Xmas Party

And then the kid's  xmas  party was over. Not really, coz I still need to document a lot of things and that means refreshing my memory of it from the very beginning. Though I wasn't feeling inspired to make any post because I still feel bad about what happened on my training but looking at the pictures I took of the kids which are soo beyond cute, I thought my conscience would stop bugging me if I show them to you. So I am.

seriously kenzie?!

my diagnosis? camera phobia. stage 10.

camera woman is confused now :)
As usual, I was the one who picked for jam's clothes. I always like the idea of a father helping his son choose what best to wear but unless I kidnap the father or unless I cry blood some more, I guess I should start getting over with that idea. So for this year's party, I tried for my taste to have no trace of femininity but that I'm not sure so.

Because I was alone and I didn't have a car, I had no choice but to go to nearest sm mall which is in Olongapo City. It is pretty small compared to the one in Pampanga so I wasn't very surprised to see very limited stocks of everything. But I had managed to buy what the kid needed despite not having that many choices.

For the program, jam and his classmates sang a xmas song in plain white costume while my two nieces performed in angel's costume with wings and halo. So cute.

One of the things I noticed that night was the school's xmas decor. Every place were decked out with beautiful xmas trees, garlands, santa claus and belen. Xmas spirit, I felt that. I really love the tree in the lobby which reminded me of the candy tree in sentosa island. And above all, I love everyone's mood that night, everyone was smiling and wishing each other a merry xmas. If xmas always makes me good and feel good, how can I not believe in Jesus Christ?

My hair sucks. Be a photographer and look like this (another excuse right?)...thanks madi for this one decent photo..

Another cute fact. My mother and I saw kenz going out of the hall alone. My mother immediately hurried out to get her. From where I was sitting, I saw little girl with wings and halo running away outside in tears. Two of her classmates approached her and asked her what was wrong, she said she can't find her Ate. Such sweet little girl. Her Ate on the other hand was busy getting her gift from the sisters. She was bragging about her gift to us when she noticed kenz very sad. Then she was about to walk away again when my mother stopped her and warned her not to stay away and then she said "but I need to get another one for kenzie!" Aren't they really angels?

Jam was sticking his tongue out. In a very proud voice, he told me how he won bunch of candies and how his tongue turned blue because of the lollipops he had eaten.

Here he is again, showing off the cute angel courtesy of his teacher.

I love those lashes <3

All in all, the school's xmas party was a ton of fun though we were dead tired after.

On the farm

My husband's family has been into farming ever since. If not for this business, my husband and his 5 other siblings could not have finished school. Working on the farm requires a lot of labor like after a day of work, you could feel every bone and muscle in your body hurting so bad. I could understand why among them, only him had shown interest in farming. From being a helper to his father, now he works on his own. For several years now, he has been planting a two hectares land with rice or corn. But for this season, he decided to plant half hectare of the land with ampalaya. His friend who has lots of experience planting ampalaya had encouraged him to partner with him. They decided to make a deal since it requires so much work and capital which he alone could not possibly handle.

The other one and a half hectares are still planted with rice...the ants would run out of supply but we won't :)

I also would like to try to live on a farm, the only problem being too far from the town and you won't find any neighbor...

Please ignore the clothes...this is what he likes to wear while getting muddy...
