Attending COA Party...

So on December 18, my bosses from COA invited me to join their christmas party at San Fernando Pampanga. I'm the only staff assigned in COA department so I got worried about travelling alone due to some issues but I really wanna be there and I couldn't afford to miss the party...so off I traveled by bus to Pampanga all by myself.

First of the reasons why I was determined not to miss the event was because I love the auditors. They are all such very nice people. More than anything they support their staff in whatever career choices they take even at their loss. They supported me when I needed to leave them because I got hired by the bank and accepted me with open arms again when I wanted to come back.

Second. One of the auditors is about to retire because he had reached 65 years old this month and since this is his last month at work, I really saw to it I was there.

Third.  COA auditors don't normally stay in one government unit too long. Sometimes they stay only for six months. They are always being relocated somewhere else. In fact, I have a feeling by next year, my present bosses will be replaced. Thus, I collect memories as much as I can.

Auditors and some guests..most of them are CPAs...
The party was a ton of fun...it started with a lunch out at Matutina's with the big bosses of COA sitting alongside us wtf. Then it went on to COA office with all the yummy food in the world served on the table. We had few parlor games which only one of them I won. Then a little tribute to the retiring auditor and finally the traditional exchange gift.

Their gifts to me that I'm so loving....
So the party ended at five oclock and by five oclock...I still had time to kill shopping at SM which was having a sale that day. Such serendipity! Thus, at 50% off, I got my son a branded green tshirt and a white short which he had worn to their Christmas party dance number on the 20th.

Party for the kids..

Look who were my visitors in the office...taaadaa!

The company sponsored kids' Christmas party in the office exclusively for employees’ kids. When I told my son about it, he got so excited, he even cleared his schedule up lolz and reserved that day for the party. But when the day came..I knew instantly that he did not enjoy it. Maybe because it was boring. It was literally boring. Plus we had to go out for lunch because I only got like one piece of food pack only for the kid not knowing there were separate food for the parents. After lunch, father and son insisted to go home that I just had to let them.
The good thing? I met some of my officemates’ spouses and their kids. And ofcourse, I was able to show husband and son what I do and where I work.

The party..
Some of the presents I got from the bosses...

Christmas this year..

I can’t believe Christmas is over. Today is just a day after Christmas but we already need to report for work. No excuses. I’m still feeling the aftershocks of it all though, and I swear to god nanlalambot pako. Nope, I did not drink any alcohol last night but all parts of my body are kind of painful. As expected I came late for work today. Good thing I’m not normally tasked to do heavy loads of paper works unlike before when the most loads of work came during year ends. Thus, I have the time of my life to update this blog. Because I have to. You know, my sister keeps on buggin me about the pictures.
Our whatsapp conversation went like this:
Me: So how was your Christmas? Merry Christmas!
Sister: Where are the pictures? THE. PICTURES.
What the heck sis? Let me procrastinate a bit! Okay you win, pictures at the bottom shall be all yours!
But before that, bear with me as I tell you the stories behind those pictures. Let start off with the food we had on Christmas eve, which was not that much. We just learned the meaning of the word ENOUGH. This time we don’t wanna see spoiled food stored in the kitchen days after Christmas.
So for this year, I bought the must-haves keso de bola and ham. Also the family’s traditional pork and beef stew for main dish. I also cooked spaghetti and made little kebabs out of the ham and keso de bola with marshmallow to attract the kids ofcourse. My sister made maja plus my mother’s version of leche plan for desserts. Ooops I almost forgot the 40 inched ice cream lolz. Did that even sound enough? Well believe it or not, we prepared less this time compared to last year.
We spent the whole Christmas eve at home and the whole Christmas day at the inlaw’s house. We played with our niece and nephews in law and after we had lunch we just all slept our tiredness away. It was almost night time when we got back home, ate some leftovers and then went to bed.
So that was how we spent and enjoyed Christmas. As for the pictures...wait no more sis as your agony is about to end! Lotsa pictures for you!

Puregold Grocery Shopping..

There are many things I could do in a rush but not christmas grocery shopping. I could buy the meat and vegies at the wet market even at the last second but no way would i want to queue up just to get near the cashier at the grocery stores like last-minute shoppers do.

Christmas would never be complete without some grocery shopping so three days before christmas..off the five of us went to the nearest puregold which is at floridablanca. Because it's a newly opened store, we just got curious and decided to buy the groceries there so everything we need would be available right in time for christmas eve.

The store is too small though..I don't really like it. I will not recommend it. It's still better at sm supermarket or other spacious puregold out there but not that one. Luckily we were able to find most of the items we need which is our only mission. Thus after shopping at SM and now this, our cash is already reduced by 75%. Tears. I have only like few small bills to give for the godkids. The good part is that all my bills are brand new! Fresh from the banko central lolz.

The kids are always the bosses. Remember..breaking kid's hearts on christmas is very very illegal. Don't even think about it. So without further delay..here are the pictures I took during that day. Enjoy sis...this is for you. You're welcome :)

Kids Christmas Party 2013

This has been the second christmas party I posted in this blog. If you missed the first one..click here. Looking a year back I can clearly tell how they changed physically. The kids have grown faster than I thought. Specially the girls. My nieces are outgrowing my son when it comes to height. Have you noticed that? Well I guess girls grow tall a bit faster than boys atleast during this stage? But soon in some points..it would be the other way around. Agree?

This picture from last year's christmas party is the sign.

And then from December 20's christmas party.

If you notice these are all taken at the house. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get pictures at school because the party was timed the same day as our office christmas party. Very disappointing that I did not see them perform in their dance costumes.

So there, enjoy the few shots I managed to take despite of the busy schedule that day. A bunch of activities up next..so watch out for those. There are really a lot to look forward to these holidays that I hope this blog could keep up lolz. Happy holidays guys!

Christmas Shopping..

I'm almost done shopping yay! Thanks to deals i got online because i'm super cheap like that. Seriously, what being jobless for almost three years taught me was to maximize my money to its highest value possible. Doing this, depriving my family of their needs and wants ain't no longer a choice even on a very tight budget. Thus, i always see to it we give the mall a visit pag may time lolz. Buset!

Going back to online deals. I thought i should share to you how it went for me. So one of the deals i availed was this smac deals from SM. They have a website where you have to register using your sm advantage card informatiions. Once registered, you can choose deals of your choice, sm branch to redeem your items from and payment method of your choice. Having an online bank account like i do is better as you can pay anytime faster and safer. Note that most of the deals go out of stock few hours after posting time which is every midnight of mondays until fridays only.

At first I was unsure whether to avail this parisian shoes from sm. I thought their products are mostly heels and wedges that i don't really like. I only wear rubber shoes, loafers and flats if i really have no other choice. To be sure then, i researched about parisian. Good enough they have loafers and flats. So yes..on I went. 1500 worth of brand new shoes for only 750!

So i ended up buying three pairs of flats whaat? This picture is one of them. I never thought my ugly feet would look good on flats until i tried them on. What the fuck...since when i turned so kikay? But really parisian shoes are pretty on my feet, they are sooo cute and comfy too. Even the first time i wore them..my feet did not complain lolz. I felt i was barbie what the hell?

I also got deals for my husband and ofcourse for my son. Plus some toiletries from watson...all at 50% off! Thus, after all the discounts and the sale, i got total of around 5,000 pesos savings. Imagine the cashier's pain lolz. No really, the cashier went crazy about me showing her handful of printed vouchers bwahaha. Who could get any wiser than that?

Seriously though, at the end of the day, these are just all material things that do not last. Memories and joy do, yes? Hey, I have just finished watching pepito manaloto. Chito's song got me..that's all. I fell inlove with the lyrics that I immediately researched youtube. Soo catchy...i know you will like it too. The melody is just ahh..i wanna sing it..right now..calling my guitarist friends...sham and jopam i need you hehe. (Wtf even your names rhyme?) Check this video out now guys...very timely for Christmas.

There you go my friends, two posts in a day what the fuck...i need to get a life. Merry Merry Christmas to you all! I sent hugs and kisses to your address. No matter what we must find many ways to enjoy the holidays. My pledge is to be extra sweet to everybody. Note to self..no mood swings please.

Flashback High School..

I can't keep personal stuff long enough. I value sentimental things but because i'm always forgetful, i lose them all the time. Childhood and school photos for instance. They're all gone now. But hey..look what I found!

I saw this graduation picture on our highschool group facebook page. One of my classmates posted it but among many pictures...i only snatched three that bring back tons of memories. Can you recognize me here? Spot the darkest girl..that's me lolz. Gotta love that hair though. Second to the bottom left...was that sir agkis? I love this teacher, he gave me the highest score in one of our essay tests in physics. Excuse the pride but what seldom happens i never forget lolz. Oh the teacher in red...serious and cranky she used to be even when cracking jokes in between discussions. A joker in serious face is a lot more hilarious, me thinks haha. Crushes..i had long list of..infact i can see five of them in this picture. I was secretly crushing on them, something i never told anyone about not even my friends. I'm discreet like that because i always thought i was too ugly and they were too cute for me. One time one of them complimented i got pretty brown eyes though <insert fireworks here> loloz..ooops sorry my reputation. If i could just bring back time when i could just think about boys, principal, curfew, quizzes, prom. Even one day only to get away from the real world.

I'm not sure whether or not i was in the bottom left picture showing drum and xylo practice. I felt the memories just the same. Those fine trees were captured though..yay for the fine trees!

OMG this trio! A picture really tells a thousand words. One of them is the one i was referring in my previous post..click here and here. Haha I wasn't really sure if my friends knew about that whirlwind past. You wont spill my little secret, will you? Lolz. See..even a very stupid short love story as this deserves a page in this blog. All the people i got along with actually. Even enemies. Whether they like it or hate it.
